10 Things I Want for My Birthday

June 17, 2011

10:48AM

Wow! It's my birthday today. I'm not really a huge fan of presents but since I want to write something on this
"special day", I thought of listing the things I've been wanting to have for a long time. And in the tradition of my
"Tuesday's Ten Whatevers", I picked the ten gifts I would be glad to receive today. Here's my wish-list:

10. An "alter-ego" blog.

Which I actually already have! I made it yesterday and I already started blogging there. Not that I don't want this blog any more, I just thought I want a place where I can spill my heart out other than here in Go Ask Tuesday.

9. Volks® Super Dollfie 13 - Tsukasa Konoe.

I love Tsukasa Konoe! I'm just not sure this particular model faced out already, but pre-owned ones can do! Hehe!

8. Magic 8 Ball.

At number 8 is an 8! Err, a Magic 8 Ball that is! It's kinda rare at the malls I go to.

7. Skateboard.

I used to keep Ralph Jhonel's skateboard named Homer. And since I returned it back to him, my room suddenly is incomplete. Maybe I need a replacement.

6. Fake Skull (or any Anatomical Figures).

Remember the manga series "Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge" a.k.a "Perfect Girl Evolution" a.k.a. "The Wallflower"? Sometimes I want to be Sunako Nakahara; always had an obsession with darkness and a morbid fascination with blood, horror movies, and similarly dark things, hates excessive light exposure and also does poorly in hot weather.

5. GhostGirl series by Tonya Hurley.

L-R: GhostGirl, GhostGirl: Homecoming, GhostGirl: Lovesick.
I already read the ebook version of the first installment, and since then, I started to be a fan.

4. GhostGirl guitar.

Since I love GhostGirl so much, I included this in my wish-list. This is actually a price to a GhostGirl "Lovesick" music video contest.

3. Giniling Festival Makamundo "Bungo" T-Shirt.

Aside from the fact that I'm going to finally meet my idols, the Makamundo "Bungo" T-Shirt is one of the reasons why I am planning to attend to Giniling Festival's Makamundo Part 2 album launch on July 1, at Freedom bar. I'm not sure if they have my size, but whatever size is the smallest, I will buy it anyway.

2. Inuman with "Mga Men" (as if we haven't been drinking a freakin' lot these past weeks!).

This is what I always look forward to whenever my birthdays are approaching. Of course I'm going to spend all the remaining birthdays of my life with them!
(Actually, tinetext na nila ako ngayon uh! Haha!).

1. This Guy.

I don't want to say any more. :)

OK. OK. I know this wish-list is just too ambitious! Haha! Pag-bigyan n'yo na 'ko, birthday ko ngayon eh!

Hindi Ako Makapag-Decide Sa Title Ng Entry Na Ito Kaya Naman Naisipan Ko Nalang Na Iklian Ang Pamagat Kaya Ang Title Nito Ay "GFf"

All my closest friends are guys who listen to Lamb of God, Queso and the likes, so I obviously was influenced to listen to those kinds of music as well. My "mga men" were the ones to introduce me to Giniling Festival — or at least, to Giniling Festival's music. We would spend every single night with inuman sessions; downing bottles after bottles of GSM Blue (or, if we can afford, Red Horse), taking drags and puffs on our Marlboros (and/or that other thing that emits smoke), and banging our heads to the loud metal music in the background. Man, that's my idea of heaven.

I remember this one particular night when we were having our usual drinking marathon, there was this song that goes "Holdap holdap ito..." that's been playing in my friend's China-iPhone amidst our loud rantings about whatever-the-fuck. I stopped and listened for a while and I had to laugh to the lyrics.

"Natawa ka din ano, men?" Jhepmar, my bestfriend who noticed, asked and laughed with me.

"Gagong gago nga men!" I told him.

The following day, Jhepmar returned my digicam-slash-music-player to me (he borrowed it a long time ago and honestly, I forgot I ever had that gadget until he gave it back), and when I browsed through the files, there were Giniling Festival songs in it already. And since that fateful day on, I started listening to those songs a freakin' lot. I even have them on as my lullabies at night.

Last month, I became the first ever Giniling Festival fan of the week (it's another story, I'll tell you that next time). And as a tribute to the greatest band my ears ever listened to, I did a list of my 10 most favorite Giniling Festival songs. And here's what I came up with:

10. Sirang Plaka

9. Psycho S'ya

8. Barbero

7. Mabuhay Lahat Ng Single

6. Haka Haka, Hula Hula

5. Dodo

4. Holdap (The Carlos Antonio Garcellano Story)

3. Hari Ng Metal

2. Astig

1. Bano

Just because the other songs didn't make it to my list (i.e. Tsong, Siling Giniling, Letter to Angelina Jolie, McJolly), it doesn't mean I don't like them. Man, I love every single song Giniling Festival made. It's just that I only needed to list at most 10 of them. If you want to know the truth, I'm a Giniling Festival fan for life!

Magaling, astig, magaling, astig, astig, astig!

My 10 Ultimate Crushes

December 29, 2010

06:01AM

The sun is kinda poking out through the horizon yet I'm still awake and not at all feeling sleepy. So to make my time worth staying up, I thought of listing the top 10 ultimate crushes I have. It's really kinda immature, I know, but can you come up with a better idea at this point of the day?

So here's the names I included in my list:

10. Nikko NatividadThe Hearthrob
Have you ever had the "laglag panty, ikot bra" experience? OMG! You'll see what I'm talking about when you see this almost-perfect guy for yourself. He's in my cheer team, but we're not really close — yet — that's why he's just in the 10th spot.

9. Ramil BustardeThe Listening Ear
A crush is just a crush, right? Of course I'm not being too defensive! This Below Zero co-dancer of mine may not be the kind that girls would go drooling about, but looks can be decieving (I don't mean how it sounds like, alright). I like him because he's such a good listener-slash-counselor. That's just it!

8. Jeremiah TenorioThe Cutie
I'm sure, one of my closest friends is going to give me a violent reaction to this! Haha! Jhem is also in Below Zero. Obviously, the only license he have to make it to this list is his face.

7. Jefferson PeñaflorThe Idol
I admire this guy so much in almost everything he does. We used to chit-chat before (SMS, YM, Facebook), and he's got a freakin' lot of ideas in his mind; humor, romance, music and what have you. Most of the times, I just wish to be someone like him.

6. Alan FernandoThe Hunk
Certainly the hottest among all the other members of Cryptic Illusion. I'm not really into small guys, but what I like about him is that he's got a smile that's contagious. Oh, his smile! No really, I find him hot.

5. Danyl RiveraThe Stranger
He's the only one in my list that I don't know personally. Why did I place him in the 5th spot? I don't really know! Maybe I just like him more than I like the 5 other guys aforementioned.

4. Marnel GarciaThe First
First real love, that is! I loved this guy so much, he's the only one who made me feel really special (not the retard sort, moron!). No one has ever done that for me before, and no one has done it again. But Marnel's got his own family now. He's already got the cute, little Kylle. I'm really happy for him.

3. Jhepmar MallariThe Bestfriend
The word "bestfriend" becomes redefined! Jhepmar is currently the most important person in my life. We've been through a friggin' lot, we've had each other in our bests and worsts. Really, our friendship is tried and tested. Without each other, we probably gave up in life and killed ourselves. I thank God I didn't die before I met him.

2. Jaypee RiveraThe Favorite Mistake
There's this one and only mistake I had in my life that I'm never gonna regret, my ex — Jaypee. Because no matter how badly hurt he's got me feeling, he managed to bring me to my happiest even for just a very short while. That's really what's important for me. I hope we could patch the pieces up between the two of us soon. I really miss him. Someday, we'll be friends forever.

1. Ralph Jhonel GatmaitanThe Love of My Life
Maybe he's already sick of hearing this, but what can I do? This is how I feel and this is the truth. I guess I don't need to explain any further why he's at the top of my list. God knows. I only hope Photskie knows it too.

So, that sums up the top 10 ultimate crushes I have. Man, I enjoyed doing this! Maybe I should do this listing thing again. I will!
