10 Things I Want for My Birthday

June 17, 2011

10:48AM

Wow! It's my birthday today. I'm not really a huge fan of presents but since I want to write something on this
"special day", I thought of listing the things I've been wanting to have for a long time. And in the tradition of my
"Tuesday's Ten Whatevers", I picked the ten gifts I would be glad to receive today. Here's my wish-list:

10. An "alter-ego" blog.

Which I actually already have! I made it yesterday and I already started blogging there. Not that I don't want this blog any more, I just thought I want a place where I can spill my heart out other than here in Go Ask Tuesday.

9. Volks® Super Dollfie 13 - Tsukasa Konoe.

I love Tsukasa Konoe! I'm just not sure this particular model faced out already, but pre-owned ones can do! Hehe!

8. Magic 8 Ball.

At number 8 is an 8! Err, a Magic 8 Ball that is! It's kinda rare at the malls I go to.

7. Skateboard.

I used to keep Ralph Jhonel's skateboard named Homer. And since I returned it back to him, my room suddenly is incomplete. Maybe I need a replacement.

6. Fake Skull (or any Anatomical Figures).

Remember the manga series "Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge" a.k.a "Perfect Girl Evolution" a.k.a. "The Wallflower"? Sometimes I want to be Sunako Nakahara; always had an obsession with darkness and a morbid fascination with blood, horror movies, and similarly dark things, hates excessive light exposure and also does poorly in hot weather.

5. GhostGirl series by Tonya Hurley.

L-R: GhostGirl, GhostGirl: Homecoming, GhostGirl: Lovesick.
I already read the ebook version of the first installment, and since then, I started to be a fan.

4. GhostGirl guitar.

Since I love GhostGirl so much, I included this in my wish-list. This is actually a price to a GhostGirl "Lovesick" music video contest.

3. Giniling Festival Makamundo "Bungo" T-Shirt.

Aside from the fact that I'm going to finally meet my idols, the Makamundo "Bungo" T-Shirt is one of the reasons why I am planning to attend to Giniling Festival's Makamundo Part 2 album launch on July 1, at Freedom bar. I'm not sure if they have my size, but whatever size is the smallest, I will buy it anyway.

2. Inuman with "Mga Men" (as if we haven't been drinking a freakin' lot these past weeks!).

This is what I always look forward to whenever my birthdays are approaching. Of course I'm going to spend all the remaining birthdays of my life with them!
(Actually, tinetext na nila ako ngayon uh! Haha!).

1. This Guy.

I don't want to say any more. :)

OK. OK. I know this wish-list is just too ambitious! Haha! Pag-bigyan n'yo na 'ko, birthday ko ngayon eh!

OK. I know it's still the Earth Hour and I should turn off everything that uses electricity, but it's really boring tonight so I decided to just update this blog. But there really is nothing to say, so maybe I'll just post the photos Ralph Jhonel took few weeks ago for his Photography project. I'm really proud of him when he told me he received a good mark on it. I was really proud of my self too because I helped him with it. Here are some of the photos he took:

He failed to take some photos of the sculptures at the Malolos Capitol Grounds because it was already dark when we got there. But then, one day, I passed by there and I remembered him and ofcourse I missed him. I sat right in front of one of the sculptures there and just stared at it for a good couple of minutes. And then, since he failed to take its photo, I decided to do my own photography and took a photo of the statue. I don't have a DSLR, I used my camera-phone for it.

Not too bad! I really want to be a photographer like him. Maybe I should study photography too!

I Guess I Just Miss You POSH-kie!

March 15, 2011

12:39PM

Since the other night, I kept calling Ralph Jhonel
"metalhead-turned-coñotic-kid" not because I just want to do so but because it's a universal truth. If there is one thing that makes the tremendous change in him real obvious, it's the evident sosyal-ness in him.

I wasn't the first to notice it, what do I know about being sosyal? It was my twin, Frankie, who made me aware of Ralph Jhonel's being sosyal. I think I was telling her something about Ralph Jhonel when she cut me in, mid-sentence, to ask "coño?". That's when things suddenly occurred to me which strengthened the proof of the fact that Ralph Jhonel is changed.

I did not like it. I don't want Ralph Jhonel to be someone I barely know. It scares me big time just thinking that one day, he's going to be totally changed and he's going to be like a stranger. I thought I must do something about it.

STEP 1: MAKE HIM AWARE THAT I NOTICE THE CHANGE

I called him "metalhead-turned-coñotic-kid". I can't remember any reactions coming from him, so I considered my "plan B" and called Ralph Jhonel "POSH-kie" — parodied to what I really call him; Photskie. From that moment onwards, it became my pet-name for him.

STEP 2: PISS THE HELL OUT OF HIM

And then I started making fun of him. I wrote an entry called "Metalhead-Turned-Coñotic-Kid" which gave me the hardest time writing (as if he's ever gonna read!). And then, last night, I commented on one of his Facebook statuses which was some lyrics from a song I thought I heard somewhere.

I had to ask Frankie about it just to be sure, Frankie knows it and even played it on through her music player and sang to it. The mere fact that Frankie knows it made the light bulb above my head shine; it was a chance to make fun some more, and I commented.

He defended himself, but since I have this natural talent to insult people, I knew just what to do. I went on!

"Maybe the reason why I peeve it that Ralph Jhonel turned coñotic," I later confessed to Frankie, "is that I know that his 'Growling Tigers' friends influenced him to it."

"You can't blame him." Frankie said. "It is where he belongs now and he must fit in."

High-end universities really are people-changers, or at least they are to me. Frankie was right, Ralph Jhonel must fit in with the people surrounding him. Why do I always forget that he is not in Bulacan any more? How do I make my self accept that he's found new friends there and they're our total opposites? Maybe I'm just sub-consciously hurt of those facts. What hurts the most is that I have no rights to complain.

I felt sorry for being stupid. And before I slept, I posted a Facebook status saying, "I guess I just miss you POSH-kie.."

That's What You Get!

February 19, 2011

08:21AM

Good morning! I just finished helping Ralph Jhonel with his "dilemma" as the Editor-in-Chief of Muy Leal magazine. We actually started working together since the other night, but because we are far apart, it became really difficult for us to do our thing. As a result, we ended up skipping sleep last night.

Yes, I still haven't slept! My head is in pain right now and I feel nauseated. To make things worse, I gained a freakin' lot of zits around my face and my eyebags look like I haven't slept for milleniums. I decided to take pictures of my self in my current state — for fun! Look what I've got!

A close look at my eyebag!

The friggin' zits!

The sticky face!

That's what you get when you abuse your body. But like what I told Ralph Jhonel earlier, everything is worth all the efforts. In my case, it's all worth the sacrifices. Imagine, I sacrificed beauty! Let us all groan!

Kidding aside, I hope I helped Ralph Jhonel a lot that things are easier for him now. I know he had a tremendous share of hard times being the EIC, that's why I did not hesitate when he asked me to help him out. I feel fortunate that at least I experienced being an editor, even if I'm not going to gain any credits for that.

Maybe Ralph Jhonel is really an angel sent by God for me to make some of my greatest dreams come true; making a movie and editing for a magazine. OMG! I still haven't
fulfilled being a radio jock and being a rockstar! Hey Photskie, make those dreams come true! LOL!

Happy Hurt's Day! I Mean, Hearts Day!

February 14, 2011
10:43AM

Hi there! I missed updating this blog. It's a quarter past 10 in the morning but I don't have classes anymore. I only have 2 classes to attend to every Monday; Principles of Management and Communication Skills 2.

I started my day by putting heavy eyeliners on because it's Valentines day and it is a dark occasion for me. And because people are supposed to celebrate Valentines day with someone, I decided to spend it with Mary Ellen — my porcelain doll. I took dark photos with her before I leave for school and put the best one as my mobile's wallpaper image.

And since Valentines day is always thought of with hearts and the color red, I decided to incorporate it to my outfit:

1. Avon Fashions Zoe panty in red.
2. I "heart" Comfort school shoes.
3. New Look bag which has a huge heart on it, and
4. Red, my voodoo doll given by my ex-bestfriend, Red Golpeo (I pinned the doll on my bag).

And so it's Valentines day. But really, I don't see anything special about this day. To me, it's just like any other ordinary days.

In my Communication Skill 2 class, Mr. Guinto asked me something out of nowhere. We were doing some seat works then, so everyone was silently concentrating on their stuff. So every single soul heard it when Mr. Guinto asked, "Tuesday, are go going out on a date with Ralph today?"

I was caught by surprise, I thought Mr. Guinto was so nosy. How on earth did he know about me and Ralph Jhonel. But I answered anyway.

"We're not going out on a date today or tomorrow or whenever. We're just not going out on a date at all. We are not okay at the moment."

He didn't give any follow-ups to that, and so it was over.

Man, how many people actually think Ralph Jhonel and I are okay?
How many think we are still the same? Valentines day is not a special day. It will never be an exception for the complications between me and Ralph Jhonel. He never showed himself up on Christmas season, what more on a lame occasion such as today?

"Hindi ka nagbabasa ng script!"

January 23, 2011
11:00PM

Life is like a movie; if you've sat through more than half of it and it sucked every second so far, it probably isn't gonna get great right at the end and make it all worthwhile. No one should blame you for walking out early.

Christopher, Avighaille, my twin Frankie and Anne are few of my closest friends in my college. But we only got closer recently because we see an awful lot of each other almost everyday at cheerleading practices. We have never been this close. We would always do silly things whenever we're all together, to the point that our cheermates would go paranoid; predicting something terrible to happen. The whole cheer team may even be thinking that the five of us are the black sheeps.

But hey, we can be emotional too! Sure we always are notorious for being pasaway, but what people don't know is that we actually talk about serious stuff most of the time. We talk about school, studies, friendship, life and most of all love.

We have this habit to do things according to plans. And even the things we say should be rehearsed. It's as if we follow some scripts. That is how our expression "hindi ka nagbabasa ng script" suddenly became our most popular line whenever one of us is to blame for something. Most of the times, our cheermates would just stare at us in total confusion when the five of us talks about "the script" and other movie stuff, as if we are speaking in alien languages. It's exciting, if you want to know the truth. We talk and it's only the five of us really understand. It became our secret code, more like a spoken heiroglyphics or morse code which only the five of us can ever encrypt.

This is one conversation I had with Christopher last night. It may read a little funny but, mind you, we were dealing with something really really serious.

We are aware that we really get confusing for those who don't know us but we couldn't care much. What's important for us is that we understand each one of us though we make things a little puzzling. I guess that's the whole point of friendship; there's no need for explanations, friends just understand!

We Are Not the Same Any More, Sometimes I Forget to Remind My Self That!

January 21, 2011

09:21PM

Actually, I've been very busy with being a Cheer Captain to even check on Ralph Jhonel's Facebook wall every-so-often like I used to. I missed him big time, especially that he seldom update his account nowadays. He must be very busy as this week's their prelim exams.

I posted something on his wall earlier without any hope for his reply, but he commented. I asked him about his exams and he told me he did pretty well. He seems so confident about it, I wasn't surprised at all. I know he'll do great. I actually envy him for that. LOL. Next week's our midterm exams and I am negative about it. I don't know a damn thing about our lessons as I've been very busy with the cheer team. I'm not sure I'm gonna flunk every single exam. I'm planning to self-study but I don't have lecture notes to study with. I can't even think of someone I can borrow notes from because I don't have friends in my class. Man, I am going to be so dead! But I'll make ways to get over with these friggin' examinations without flunking. Oh Lord, please help me!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to having a copy of the next MuyLeal issue. I still can't convince Ralph Jhonel to give me one again, but I know he'll eventually give in. He gave me a copy of their previous issue last November only because I bugged him for that, so that's what I'm gonna do again. Haha! I don't know why he seems not confident about their magazine. If I was an editor-in-chief, I'd be very proud. If I were in Ralph Jhonel's shoes, I'd probably let my awful lots of friends to lay eyes on my works.

I remember I once asked Ralph Jhonel if he's going to pursue writing, he isn't sure. I honestly think he should. He's pretty good with it. Sure he needs more improvements, there are lots of room for that. He's going to be great! But ofcourse it's up to him. Who am I to decide for him, right?

I miss him. That is actually all I want to say when I decided to write this entry. I can't bring my self to say it to him. I don't know, but whenever I want to say something to Ralph Jhonel, I have to think it hard whether I should say it or not. And then I'd just end up not saying a thing at all. Instead, I would just write them all in this blog and it somehow satisfies me. Maybe because I know he don't read this blog and still I manage to word out my thoughts. Maybe one day he's going to read all these entries about him, at least not anytime soon. Maybe even when these thoughts are already forgotten, when we'd only laugh when we look back at them. I'm not my self any more, I'm not confident to tell him things straight. It's this idea that we don't have the same friendship as before that's giving me this low self-esteem. I really miss our friendship. But more than anything, I miss the old Ralph Jhonel.

I can't remember the last time I told him I love him. It's weird! I used to tell him those three words every-so-often that I feel the need to. It's not that I don't feel like it anymore, I still love him just the same. Maybe even deeper and greater. But the thought that he would just ignore those words breaks my spirit and I'll just stop my self from expressing it. I guess I'm just so sick of being hurt for he always pretends not recieving such affection from me. Not that I'm demanding it, but he could at the very least acknowledge it. But then again, who am I to decide for him, right?

I'm not gonna see Ralph Jhonel anytime soon. Summer break it still too far ahead. And I'm not even sure if he's gonna spend it here in Bulacan. And if he's going to, it still up to him whether he's gonna show himself up or not. I'm not gonna argue about it to him, it's not his obligation to meet up with me everytime he's in Bulacan. Sure it hurts, but who am I to complain? We are not the same any more, sometimes I forget to remind my self that. He's found himself lots of new friends in UST, I'm really happy for him. I know it made no difference that I am out of the way now. It sucks, but I have to accept that notion. I understand, I honestly do. That is why I never questioned when he never told me he was here in Bulacan last Christmas break. I cried for days, thinking that he could at least said he was here but never really planned on showing up. It could've been less painful. But I just understood. At least the fact that he was near made me feel better. Only that seeing him again will make me really happy. But who am I to decide for him, right?

Didn't I say that the only thing I wanna tell in this entry is that I miss Ralph Jhonel? I haven't noticed I've been saying so much. LOL. I guess I should end this now. He's not gonna read this anyway, so there's really no sense typing too much. Tonight, I bet the farm, I'm going to cry my self to sleep. Because I really miss Ralph Jhonel and I feel frustrated for I can't tell him that I do. I hope to have the courage tomorrow to finally tell him all these things. But I doubt it! So maybe I should just go to sleep now. Thanks for reading. Goodnight.

Inter-ABE Sports Fest

January 20, 2011
12:18PM

I had around 30 text messages and about a dozen missed calls. Frankie and I woke up late yesterday and we had to fix ourselves in a flash. Imagine, call-time was 4:30am and we woke up a quarter before 6:00am. It was the best pasaway thing we've ever done to the ABE Cheer Team.

I called Abdul while Frankie and I were on our way to the rendezvous, we had to go with them (the athletes) because the cheer team's service vehicle already left. Maybe it was fate, Ultimate Crush # 10 was in the athlete's service vehicle too (he's the table tennis varsity). It was kinda boring during the whole trip, most of the ABEnistas with us were sleeping and it was so quiet. Good thing the trip did not last forever, we reached the Amoranto Sports Complex immidiately.

So the cheer team changed to our uniforms and did our hair and make-up and prepared ourselves for the competition. And then, a company-call. Kuya Arjay gave us his last few pointers and little adjustments and then we were good to go.

Frankie & Me

Company call!!

Kuya Arjay gave his last few bits of pointers.

Waiting for our turn.

Frankie at the service vehicle.

Hindi pa nag-huhulas ang make-up ko. Haha!

We were last to perform. During the performances of the first 11 cheer teams, we waited there relaxed. And then it was our turn.

I enjoyed the whole bit our performance. Sure I got really exhausted but it was worth it. After the performance, it was time to relax. We decided to eat out so we went to McDonald's and there we had lots of kulitan.

Sino hinihintay mo d'yan? Si Prinsipe?

The Super Twins!

Saan ba talaga titingin??

Sana nakita ako!!!

Ito pa'ng isa!!! Aaargh!!

The Cheer Captain.

WARNING: The following images are not suitable for children and the virgins!

FROM FRIENDS' CAMERAS:

We left QC and head back to Bulacan at around 7o'clock in the evening but the day wasn't over yet. We went to Ultimate Crush # 9, Ramil Bustarde's place and we drank 'til 3:00am. We talked about lots of things, hilarious and serious. And it was a history. There were lots of revelations that I honestly think will make a big difference in Below Zero. We were all very honest of our true feelings and things became clearer than ever. I guess that's the best part of last day.
